Google Malaysia office

Ever dream to work in Google? Here is your chance. Google will have a biggest hiring year in 2011 to hire over 6,000 talents worldwide. Also, Google open new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

Work in Google!

Google hired more than 4,500 people in 2010 and 6,000 people in 2007, but Google will outdo both years and make 2011 the biggest hiring year in Google company history!

“We’re looking for top talent—across the board and around the globe—and we’ll hire as many smart, creative people as we can to tackle some of the toughest challenges in computer science”, says Alan Eustace, SVP Engineering and Research of Google.

You can check out Google Jobs site to find a job near your location.

New Google Malaysia Office

In 2008, I reported that Eric Schmidt (Google ex-CEO) had a discussion with ex-Prime Minister Abdulla Ahmad Badawi on establishing a base in Malaysia.

At last, this year Google will open a Google office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the second Google office in Southeast Asia (the first is in Singapore four years ago).

“We are pleased to establish our newest operations in Kuala Lumpur, where we can draw from the highest quality local talent to further help users find the information they’re looking for,” said Google Southeast Asia chief Julian Persaud.

The location of Google Malaysia office is unknown, yet. Please tip me if you have any clue. The job openings for Google Malaysia office has not been updated, yet.

Now, Malaysia has Facebook office, PayPal office and Google office. What’s next? Twitter office? Foursquare office?

Download Firefox 4 Beta Now. It is FAST!

firefox 4 logoFirefox 4 beta is now available for download now and it is few times faster than previous version. Users are also encouraged to give feedback about the beta version.

Firefox 4 has a slicker look and tab bar is at the top by default. Some new features are Firefox settings synchronization, tabs organizer, and new add-on manager that opens in tab.

A major improvement of Firefox 4 Beta is the huge performance enhancements (few times better than Firefox 3.x).

Refer to the chart below:

firefox 4 performance

I downloaded the Firefox 4 beta 10 for Mac OS X version. In order to test Firefox 4 beta in production, I have set Firefox as my default browser (I was using Google Chrome as default web browser).

In my test, loading Facebook.com is about 1 second faster than Google Chrome. The memory usage is well kept under 300MB, while Google Chrome is a memory monster!

In a nutshell, I like Firefox 4 and I will try it for a longer time to see if Firefox will return to be my permanent default browser or not.

Have you install Firefox 4? What do you like/dislike about it?

Misleading Adwords Ads by Google Itself!

google chrome? windows live messenger?

Dear Google,

Why are you cheating in your Google AdWords ads? I search for “windows live messenger” but you show me the Google Chrome ads with the title “Download Live Messenger”?

As far as I understand, Windows Live Messenger is NOT Google Chrome. The former is an instant messenger client and the latter is a web browser.

Please stop the misleading advertisements.
