Apple announced iOS 4.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch which fixes bugs and add new features: HDR photos, Game Center, etc. iOS 4.2 will include AirPlay and Wireless Printing for iPad.

iOS 4.1 for iPhone & iPod Touch

Apple announced iOS 4.1 update for iPhones and iPod Touch which fixes some iOS 4.0 bugs, e.g. proximity sensor issue, bluetooth, iPhone 3G performance.

New features included High Dynamic Range (HDR) photos, HD video upload over WiFi, TV show rentals, and Game Center.

Game Center allows you to keep track of your scores, challenge friends, play multiple-player games against your friends. No friends? No problem, it will auto match a player for you. :)

iOS 4.1 will be available as free download sometime next week.

iOS 4.2 for iPad

Besides the iOS 4.1 features, iOS 4.2 for iPad will also include new features: AirPlay and Wireless Printing.

AirPlay allows you to stream music and video to iDevices over WiFi. Wireless Printing make printing document is possible on iPad.

iOS 4.2 will be available in November 2010.

My two cents

HDR photos is useful addition feature for iPhone 4′s great camera. The Game Center is an exiting feature to kill your bored time and challenge friends(e.g. who wasted most time on iPhone games :P ).

The multitasking feature of iOS 4 is most wanted by iPad owners. Sadly, iPad owner needs to wait till November to get iOS 4 for iPad. AirPlay and Wireless Printing both make iPad closer to a netbook replacement.
